The business account for paying India
A ComplyRemit business account belongs to your company, not to you. One authorised signatory applies on the company's behalf, every owner with 25% or more verifies their identity, and a person on our team reviews the business before it can send. Payments then work exactly as they do on a personal account.
Not open yet. Business accounts are being prepared and cannot be approved today. Personal accounts are open now.
Owned by the company
The account and every payment belong to the business, not to the person who applies.
Every owner verified
Everyone holding 25% or more completes a photo ID and selfie check.
Reviewed by a person
Every business is checked by our team before it is approved.
Pay suppliers and partners in India
Bank account or UPI ID — every account is checked with the recipient's bank before its first payout.
Confirmed with a code — each payment is authorised with a six-digit code tied to that recipient and amount.
A reference for every payment — follow each stage to delivery and copy the reference for your records.
Collecting funds from your US bank usually takes 1–3 business days; the payout then usually lands within a few hours.
What the application asks for
- Legal name as it appears on the registration, and an optional trading name
- Registration number — the EIN — and the state that issued it
- Business type: sole proprietorship, partnership, LLC, corporation, non-profit, trust or other
- Industry, business email and phone, and an optional website
- The registered address, then the signatory's own details
No documents are uploaded during the application; anything required is collected securely during verification.
Features that help you pay with confidence
One signatory, a company-owned account
The person who applies acts for the company, but the account and every payment belong to the business. Personal and business accounts stay separate — the account type is chosen on the first screen.
Chosen once, at sign-up
Know-your-business checks, built in
Everyone who owns 25% or more completes a photo ID and selfie check in the same flow, and the business itself is checked on its registration, tax ID and sanctions screening.

Limits you see before you pay
The range you can send is shown on the amount screen, along with what is left in the current window, so a payment is never refused after money has left the company's bank.

Encrypted field by field
Sensitive details — including the company's registration number and account numbers — are encrypted individually with AES-256.
Every payment confirmed
A six-digit code, valid for ten minutes and tied to the recipient and amount, authorises each payment.
Regulated custody
Funds are held and settled by our regulated payments partner. ComplyRemit does not custody customer funds.
For every kind of business
Sole proprietorships
Choose sole proprietorship when you apply. You are the signatory and the owner who verifies.
Partnerships and LLCs
Each partner or member holding 25% or more verifies alongside the person applying.
Corporations
An officer applies for the company, and shareholders with 25% or more complete their own check.
Non-profits and trusts
Registered organisations apply with their EIN and are reviewed by a person, like every business.

Which companies can open a business account?
Companies registered in the United States. When you apply you choose the business type — sole proprietorship, partnership, LLC, corporation, non-profit, trust or other — and your industry. The country the company is registered in, not where you live, decides how the account is funded and which currency it sends.
What does a business application ask for?
The company's legal name as it appears on its registration, an optional trading name, its registration number (the EIN in the US) and the state that issued it, the business type and industry, a business email and phone, an optional website, and the registered address. We check the details against the register.
The person applying then adds their own details and address, as any personal customer would. No documents are uploaded during the application itself; anything required is collected securely during verification.
Who is the authorised signatory?
The person who applies. They act for the company and complete their own identity check, but the account and every payment belong to the business. The account type is chosen on the very first screen and cannot be switched later, so a personal account and a business account are always separate.
Do the company's owners need to verify their identity?
Yes. Everyone who owns 25% or more of the company completes a photo ID and selfie check as part of the same verification. Knowing who ultimately owns a business — often called KYB, know your business — is a legal requirement, and it must be complete before the account is approved.
Alongside the owners, the business itself goes through checks on its registration details, its tax ID and sanctions screening, and the verification screen shows how many owners have finished.
How long does business approval take?
A person reviews every business before it is approved, which usually takes a few business days — longer if more information is needed. Verifying a business takes more time than verifying an individual because the company, its tax ID and each owner are checked. Payments cannot be sent until the review is complete.
How do payments from a business account work?
The same way as on a personal account. The company's US bank account is linked through Plaid, recipients are added with an Indian bank account or UPI ID, each payment is confirmed with an emailed code, and every payment can be tracked until it is delivered. Limits are shown before you confirm.
