Transfer limits and how to raise them.
Every transfer has a minimum and a maximum, shown on the amount screen before you send. Your maximum depends on how far you have verified, and daily and weekly limits also apply. Adding your Social Security number raises it straight away, and an enhanced review is available for larger amounts.
Shown before you send
The range you can send appears under the amount you type.
Checked up front
If a transfer would go over a limit, you are told before your bank is debited.
Raise it with your SSN
An optional two-minute step that lifts your per-transfer maximum.
Ask for more
An enhanced review for customers who regularly send larger amounts.
How much can I send in one transfer?
The minimum and maximum for your account are shown under the amount field before you send. Limits are set per account and can change, so the app is always the current answer. Transfers to a UPI ID have a lower ceiling than transfers to a bank account, which suit larger amounts better.
Are there daily and weekly limits?
Yes. As well as the per-transfer maximum, daily and weekly limits apply to each customer. We check them before you send, so if a transfer would go over you are told on the amount screen — including how much is left and when it resets — rather than after money has left your bank.
Why is my limit different from someone else's?
Your maximum is worked out for your account from how far you have verified. A customer who has added their SSN, or completed an enhanced review, can send more per transfer than one who has only verified their ID, which is why two people can see different ranges on the same day.
How do I raise my transfer limit?
Start with the SSN step on the verification screen: it takes about two minutes and the higher limit applies straight away. If you need more than that allows, ask for a higher limit. That review asks for a recent pay stub and bank statement and is decided by a person in about two business days.
What happens if I try to send more than my limit?
The transfer is not sent. The amount screen shows that you are above your current limit before anything is collected from your bank, along with the most you can send right now. You can choose a smaller amount, or raise your limit through verification before sending.
