How ComplyRemit works from sign-up to delivery.
Create an account, verify your identity and wait for a short review of your details. Then link your US bank through Plaid, add your recipient's UPI ID or Indian bank account, and send. Every transfer is confirmed with a code and tracked stage by stage until it is delivered.
Verify once
A photo ID and a selfie, checked in minutes. You never repeat it for each transfer.
Link your bank
Sign in to your US bank through Plaid. There is no balance to top up.
Add recipients
A UPI ID or an Indian bank account, checked before your first payout.
Track every stage
From the pull on your bank to the payout in India, with a notification on delivery.
What happens when I sign up?
You create an account with your email, then tell us about yourself: your name, nationality, phone number and address. You then verify your identity with a government photo ID and a selfie. Your details are reviewed by our team before you can send, and you can edit them until that review begins.
The first question is who the account is for — yourself, or a business. It decides what we have to verify, so it cannot be changed later. Business accounts are described on their own page.
Why is my account reviewed before I can send?
Every new account is reviewed by a person on our team after onboarding, because we are responsible for knowing who sends money through us. It happens once. While it is in progress you see a screen that updates on its own, and if we cannot approve an account we tell you why.
How is a transfer paid for?
From a US checking account in your own name, linked once through Plaid. Your bank login is handled by Plaid and never shared with us. There is no balance to top up first: when you send, the amount is collected from your bank as part of that transfer.
How do I confirm a transfer?
Before a transfer leaves, we email you a six-digit code. The code is tied to that exact recipient, amount and bank account, and the email repeats them so you can spot anything you did not intend. It expires after ten minutes, and nothing is sent until you enter it.
How long does a transfer take?
Collecting the money from your US bank usually takes one to three business days, because it moves over ACH. Once it has arrived, the payout to India usually lands within a few hours. Weekends and bank holidays in either country add time, and every stage is visible in the app.
How do I know where my transfer is?
Each transfer moves through visible stages — funding, converting, sending, paying out and delivered — and every one has a reference you can copy for support. You are notified when it is delivered, and if a transfer cannot be completed the amount collected from your bank is returned.
