DattaRemit is now ComplyRemit

Why families choose ComplyRemit.

ComplyRemit is built for people in the US who send money home to India regularly. You get the mid-market exchange rate with no margin hidden in it, the exact rupee amount before you confirm, payouts to any UPI ID or Indian bank account, and a transfer you can follow from start to finish.

Does ComplyRemit give a better exchange rate?

ComplyRemit uses the mid-market reference rate, refreshed every few minutes, and does not add a hidden margin to it. Many services quote a rate below mid-market and keep the difference. With ComplyRemit, what you see on the review screen — what you send, the rate and what arrives — is the full picture.

Customers with a Silver or Gold member badge also receive a flat rupee bonus on every dollar they send, on top of the reference rate.

Can ComplyRemit pay a UPI ID directly?

Yes. You can pay any UPI ID in India, or an Indian bank account using the account number and IFSC code. Paying a UPI ID is the shortest route: one identifier instead of two fields that are easy to mistype, and funds are typically credited in rupees within minutes once the transfer is funded.

For family members who already use UPI apps every day, it also means the money lands where they are used to seeing it.

How easy is it to get started with ComplyRemit?

Most people finish onboarding in a few minutes. Create an account, complete identity verification with Persona, and link your US checking account through Plaid by signing in to your bank. After that, sending is three steps: choose the recipient, enter an amount, and confirm on the review screen.

Setup happens once. Every transfer after the first reuses your verified identity, your linked bank and your saved recipients.

Can I track my transfer with ComplyRemit?

Yes. Every transfer shows which stage it is at in the activity screen, from the debit leaving your US bank to the payout in India, so you are never guessing. If a transfer cannot be completed, the full amount debited from your funding source is returned, and our support team typically replies the same day.

Is ComplyRemit a safe way to send money to India?

ComplyRemit operates through regulated payments partners that hold the required money transmission authorizations and custody customer funds. Personal information is encrypted field by field, all traffic uses TLS, and sensitive actions such as sending money require an extra verification step. Security is the default, not an upgrade.

The full detail is in our post on how ComplyRemit keeps your money and data safe, and on the security page.
