Is ComplyRemit safe to use?

ComplyRemit operates through regulated payments partners that hold the money transmission authorizations needed to move funds between the US and India. Your transfer is executed under that regulated framework, and ComplyRemit follows the KYC and anti-money-laundering requirements of those partners and of the jurisdictions we operate in.

ComplyRemit does not custody customer funds itself. They are held and settled by our regulated partners.

Identity verification is a legal requirement for money transfer, and it protects you. It stops someone opening an account in your name and makes the whole network harder to misuse. ComplyRemit uses Persona for verification, which usually asks for a government-issued photo ID and confirmation of your address.

Yes. Your bank account is linked through Plaid, so you sign in to your own bank in a secure window and ComplyRemit never sees or stores your online banking password. The account must be in your own name, which is checked against your verified identity before it can be used.

Personally identifiable information is encrypted field by field using AES-256-GCM, with keys managed by major cloud providers. All traffic is protected with TLS and HSTS. Sensitive actions such as sending money require step-up verification: an email code on the web, or biometric verification on the mobile app.

If a transfer cannot be completed, the full amount debited from your funding source is returned. Every transfer is visible stage by stage in the activity screen, and our support team at [email protected] typically replies the same day and can investigate anything that has not settled as expected.
